Off Road Karts
Off road karts are designed to be lightweight and to have better suspension than standard karts. They typically feature a shaft drive system that has limited slip differential, which help keep the go kart upright and balanced in adverse and bumpy conditions.
The engine size in off road karts is usually pretty similar to that of standard karts. Often, however, these karts feature specific, high performance parts such as the intake and exhaust. These karts also feature tires with a deeper tread, meant to take on dirt and mud—as well as ice and snow sometimes.
As with other types of karts, it is possible to have a go kart custom made according to your liking. If this is the route you plan to take, you will either need to know what you’re doing when it comes to assembling the kart, or to ask questions to ensure that the parts are compatible with the kind of racing terrain you are envisioning.
